Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update 18/03/2020

We want to update you in light of the evolving COVID-19 situation. We have worked hard to build a trusted and respected business serving regular and new customers alike and are proud of what we do. These are unprecedented times and we are grateful for your understanding and patience.

In response to these uncertain times, we’ve temporarily changed some elements of our Ts&Cs.

At this moment, we are still aiming to fulfil all existing orders and bookings, with the exception of delivery and setups which are not guaranteed. Following Government guidelines on social distancing, it may not be possible to provide this service until this situation changes.

Collections from our premises will be strictly by appointment only and times must be adhered to. Any face to face consultations will be postponed and pre-arranged in the future or conducted by telephone. Samples booked will be posted out at our own cost.

You can amend bookings between now and 30/04/20, and re-book for future dates subject to conditions and availability. Any deposits paid will be rolled forward with no loss to you.

As we buy materials & ingredients in preparation as well as engage in planning, any cancellations will forfeit the deposit paid. We will however honour this deposit against a cake in the future instead as per above.

If WE are forced to cancel a booking, will will attempt to engage another designer of equal skill and experience to fulfil your order OR a full refund of any monies paid to us will be refunded.

New bookings are being taken subject to existing terms and amendments above.

Cake Prices

Everything we make is bespoke. We use fresh ingredients and all our cakes are made from scratch. Because of this, prices vary depending on style, size and detailing.

Celebration cakes start from £60, for Wedding Cakes and Sculpture, please contact us.

To confirm your order and secure your date, we do require a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of 50% of the total value (excluding delivery/setup costs) or £30 (whichever the greater) with your order within 24 hours of accepting our quote, or your booking may not be secured.

For orders less than £100

The balance is due on delivery / collection.

For orders of £100 or more

The balance is required at least 7 working days before collection/delivery.

Deposits and final payments can be made by the following methods:

  • Bank Transfer
  • Cash

Delivery & Collection

Cakes may be collected from us by prior arrangement. There is no charge for this, but the time and date must be pre-arranged and strictly adhered to. Missed collections / appointments may be liable to a surcharge.

For deliveries within a 3 mile radius of Halesowen B63, we charge £5.

For each mile thereafter, a surcharge of 50p per mile will be added. Mileage is calculated using Google maps from the B63 location to and from the destination (a round trip).

This will be communicated to you when ordering and payable alongside the final balance.

Delivery, Setting Up, Dressing and Planner Liaison (Wedding Cakes Only)

We can arrange to deliver, set up, decorate and meet with your wedding planner if required. Please ask about prices.

Consultations / Appointments / Walk Ins

As we are a home based bakery, any consultation or visit is strictly by appointment only and may be chargeable. In the first instance, consultations (by email, messaging service) is free however additional consultations or consultations in person may be chargeable at £12.50 per half hour. Any consultation fee paid will be deducted from the final price if an order is placed.

We can only provide tasting and consultation at our premises for wedding cakes.

Food Hygiene

All of our cakes may contain gluten and/or nuts (or traces of nuts).

We are able to make:

  • Cakes containing no gluten ingredients.
  • Cakes containing no egg or egg derivative ingredients.
  • Cakes containing no dairy or diary ingredients.
  • Vegan cakes made with no animal products or derivatives.

Nut Allergy Information

Where the recipe allows, the following allergen information is relevant to our cakes which have no nuts in the recipe.

Recipe: No nuts.
Ingredients: Cannot guarantee nut-free.
Kitchen/Preparation Area: Before being prepared for the manufacture of this product the equipment was previously used to make products containing nuts.

Cake Portion Sizes

Usually, sponge cake portion sizes are approximately 1″ by 2″ per slice/person. Fruit cake portions are smaller, about 1″ by 1″. The below table shows you approximately how many portions per cake size:
